As of 2026 Q2, 143 FORD GTs remain registered in the UK — a genuinely rare sight on today's roads. Numbers are at their highest recorded level since the model first appeared in our data in 2014 Q3. Unusually, the numbers are actually rising — up 4 (2.9%) over the past year, as imports and barn-finds rejoin the register faster than cars leave it. Tellingly, 48% are declared SORN — kept off the road in garages and barns rather than driven, the signature of a car being looked after rather than used up. In all, the FORD GT is rarer than 55% of the 2,315 UK car models we track.

The Ford GT is a mid-engine two-seater sports car manufactured and marketed by American automobile manufacturer Ford for the 2005 model year in conjunction with the company's 2003 centenary. The second generation Ford GT became available for the 2017 model year. The GT recalls Ford's historically significant GT40, a consecutive four-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (1966–1969), including a 1-2-3 finish in 1966.
As of 2026 Q2, 143 FORD GT were still registered in the UK — 75 licensed and on the road, plus 68 declared SORN (off-road). The figures come from official DVLA vehicle licensing data.
