MCLAREN GT Rare

As of 2026 Q1, 274 MCLAREN GTs remain registered in the UK — a genuinely rare sight on today's roads. Numbers are at their highest recorded level since the model first appeared in our data in 2019 Q3. Unusually, the numbers are actually rising — up 5 (1.9%) over the past year, as imports and barn-finds rejoin the register faster than cars leave it. In all, the MCLAREN GT is rarer than 50% of the 2,429 UK car models we track.

About the GT

The McLaren GT is a two seat grand tourer designed and manufactured by the British automobile manufacturer McLaren Automotive. It is the company's first dedicated grand tourer and is based on the same platform underpinning the 720S with the addition of a carbon fibre rear deck topped by a glazed tailgate creating significantly greater storage capacity. The GT was first announced at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, but full details of the car were not released until May 15 of the same year.
